About The Company: Spirit Fitness has been in the fitness industry for quite some time now going back more than 2 decades. However, the Spirit brand itself never really stood out perhaps because it was mainly manufacturing for other brands instead of its own. This seems to have changed as in April, 2005, Dyaco, a company with plants in China and Taiwan acquired it. Dyaco now sells under not only the Spirit brand but also the Sole brand as well. If they’re trying to make inroads into the North American market, they have two very strong brands to do it with.

It's been said that Spirit still does the manufacturing for Sole products so their products are essentially the same machine with different packaging. As of mid 2007, Spirit seems to have been hit with some serious quality control issues resulting in many faulty products. Even though the brand has generally received positive reviews in the past, it would be wise to exercise caution before buying or until at least they work out their quality control issues.
